Meet Joanna
Sometimes we find ourselves in a position where we don’t like the life we’ve built and we aren’t sure where to go from here. Therapy can help you gain more information about yourself, your partner, and your relationship, to support you in making choices that build a life that fits you.
I empower couples and individuals to overcome personal obstacles. I assist my clients in finding an understanding of themselves in order to strengthen their connections and their relationships. My areas of special interest include families coping with chemical addictions, anxiety & depression, grief & loss, and intimate relationships. I also have a passion for working with clients who are figuring out “adulting” or who are preparing for marriage.
Joanna’s Specialties
Clients describe me as warm, connective, and funny. I will hold you accountable with compassion. I have a big capacity to hold your pain and your joy with you, and I’m here to celebrate the changes you make. I am trained in EMDR and have a background working with clients recovering from addictions. I am also trained in Gottman Level 1 and am a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator. I’m also a Minnesota BMFT and BBHT, and AAMFT Approved, supervisor.
When I’m not at work, you’ll find me in my garden, in my kitchen, or enjoying live music around the Twin Cities.
